The Caledonian Society of Bermuda Donation Page
Hosted By: The Caledonian Society of Bermuda
The Caledonian Society of Bermuda (Registered Charity #896) was formed on November 29, 1936 to share and promote the rich traditions and culture of Scotland within Bermuda.
We are famous for hosting some of the liveliest events on the island’s social calendar, including our annual St. Andrew's Day Ball, Hogmanay Ball, Burns Supper and more recently, the Annual Bermuda Highland Games.
Since our inception, the Society has been committed to the people of Bermuda, providing philanthropic support to a variety of local charities, institutions and individuals in the form of cash donations, volunteer support, and our Educational Scholarship - established to assist Bermuda-based students in pursuing their post-secondary education abroad. We similarly support the Island’s Highland Dance, Sports and Pipes/Drums initiatives, providing particular sponsorship of the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band and Dance Division. All funds are raised through individual member donations and the various ceilidhs, golf tournaments, quiz nights and other Scottish-themed entertainments held throughout the year.
Though obviously proud of our Scottish heritage, we are equally proud to be a fully inclusive organization. We boast a broad membership that includes Scots and non-Scots alike, with our only joining criteria being a mutual love of fun, community, Celtic culture and the island on which we live.
